16 July 2008: New college site joins YCWB
Chittagong Collegiate Government School officially joined to the Youth Crime Watch Program. In an informal event, Principle of Collegiate Government School signed to the YCWB site agreement.
7 July 2008: Train the trainer program
The YCWB national technical team successfully provided training to 20 youths on establishing a Youth Crime Watch site. These trained youths will visit different allocated areas in Bangladesh to establish new Youth Crime Watch sites.
June: Visit at the US Embassy
YCWB Executive Director Zalal Uddin Ahmed and National Program Coordinator Abu Horaira Bhuttu visited the American Center, Dhaka for a meeting with United States Embassy officials to discuss YCW program prospects.

26 March 2008: YCWB activities on Independence Day
15 March 2008: March against corruption in Chittagong
Youth Crime Watch of Bangladesh participated in the anti-corruption rally in Chittagong on March 15. YCWB members carried signs featuring Casey the Cat and a large banner bearing Youth Crime Watch's signature "Help Out! Watch Out!" message. Various civic groups took part in the event, which drew tens of thousands of marchers from all walks of life.
28 February 2008: Youth Crime Watch of Bangladesh official launch ceremony
On February 28, 2008, Deputy Director of the American Center at the U.S. Embassy Mr. Harvey W. Sernovitz helped inaugurate the YCWB Program in Bangladesh at a special launch ceremony. Other special guests were Mr. Md. Manzur Kader Khan (Deputy Inspector General of Bangladesh Police), Advisor Md. Emdad Ali (Managing Partner, Segull Traders), Chairman of the Department of Law for Premier University, youth and representatives of the press.
The program was chaired by national program coordinator Abu Horiara Bhuttu and started with opening remarks on behalf of YCWB chairman Mr. Kafil Uddin Ahmed delivered by the vice chairman Ms. Nusrat Jahan. Mr. Sernovitz addressed the group, emphasizing the importance of the program and calling upon everybody to support this important initiative and stating that he was highly inspired to provide advice and help from the U.S. Embassy in Bangladesh. The Deputy Inspector General of Police (DIG) also promised to provide any required assistance and support from police. Md. Emdad Ali (advisor) requested everybody to give their best support to this excellent initiative in Bangladesh.
Also part of the event was the signing of a site agreement between Premier University and Youth Crime Watch Of Bangladesh (YCWB) and an intensive workshop for youth. Approximately 130 youth representatives from different institution attended to the workshop and the seminar.

2 February 2008: YCWB conference rocks the Kasba

3 January 2008: YCWB Registered in Bangladesh
Youth Crime Watch of Bangladesh (YCWB) has also been registered here in Bangladesh (Registration no. CH-S-380(03) of 2008, registered with Registrar of Joint Stock Companies & Firms, Bangladesh) as non profit organizations with number of objectives designed by Youth Crime Watch Of America (YCWA) , objectives such as-
- Research and survey on youth community and searching for the reasons of increasing youth crimes.
- Activity project and events for youth skills development
- Run regular counseling, workshops for youths on their rights and planning of lives from the youth centers.
- Run Awareness campaign and providing constant Support, guidelines and resources for Bangladeshi youths.
- Encouraging and lobby government on more information of youth crimes on the textbooks.
- Developing a strong and interactive youth forum, from where youths will be able to share their views, ideas and share suggestions and also can get involve to work for the youths.
12 January 2008: Visit to Radio Foorti FM, the FM radio channel Of Bangladesh
YCWB management team visits the Bangladeshi private radio channel Radio Foorti to discuss about the partnership possibilities. As youth listens Radio a lot and Radio Foorti is well known to the youths, YCWB wants to reach the youths through the Radio with the ideology of youth led crime prevention.
15 January 2008: Sudin Society become the partner organization of YCWB
YCWB Executive committee decides to take several renowned partners to run YCW program in different places of Bangladesh. YCWB wants to reach to every single educational institution to spread ‘Watch out’ and ‘ Help Out’ slogan. Part of our strategy, YCWB and Sudin society become partner to promote YCWB ideology in certain places ( Chittagong Kotowali thana, Rangamati Kotowali thana and Feni City) of Bangladesh.
21 January 2008: Radio Foorti FM become official radio partner
Radio Foorti FM has become an official partner of Youth Crime Watch Bangladesh to promote the ideology of youth led crime prevention.
24 January 2008: Scheduled meeting with US Embassy Dhaka Official.
YCWB chairman Kafil Uddin Ahmed is going to visit US Embassy Official to brief the YCWB program.
